PRODIGY competition dance teams are designed for students ages 6-19 who are serious about dancing in a pre-professional environment and taking their dance education to a higher level. They must maintain an exemplary attendance record and be enrolled in ballet in addition to other dance forms. Members must be fully committed to the extent of putting the team above all other outside activities, be willing to participate in weekend rehearsals, competitions, and performances and have the full support of their parents in getting them to their required dance classes and PRODIGY events. |

The focal point of PRODIGY is to be a leading youth dance company recognized for presenting eclectic, innovative and finely honed repertoire of dance styles. Our mission is to promote an outlet for dancers to perform in a professional manner while emphasizing the empowerment of young people by building self-esteem and inspiring creative self-expression. The structure of the PRODIGY teams focuses on the development of appropriate knowledge, skills, and strategies that will enhance the students’ ability to teach or work with dance in a variety of settings In the competitive circuit, it is not the award that is the significant measure of success, but the journey towards earning the award that is recognized. These items should be strongly considered before auditioning.
